GI Corporation is a leading precision manufacturing organization specializing in aviation, defense, and aerospace tooling. Our products are 100% designed and manufactured in the United States. We are currently in the process of opening a new, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned CNC production facility in Austin, TX, and are seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC Swiss-style lathes using Fanuc controls.
- Perform CAD/CAM programming and manual G-code/M-code edits.
- Read, interpret, and work from complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Run and program twin-spindle, twin-turret lathe equipment.
- Work on equipment including Takisawa TM-2000 and Tsugami B0386-III.
- Conduct first-article inspections and routine quality control checks to meet strict aerospace standards.
- Troubleshoot machine programs and setups to optimize cycle times and tool life.
- Manage short-run and production runs for high-precision components.
- Lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and stand for extended shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Job Requirements
- 5-6 years of hands-on experience programming and setting up Swiss-style lathes in a machine shop environment.
- Advanced proficiency in G-code/M-code programming and Fanuc controls.
- Proven track record of working with high-precision aerospace or defense components.
- US Citizen or Green Card holder (required due to defense contract requirements).
- Reliable transportation and a commitment to consistent punctuality.

- Full-time position: 40 hours per week, day shift (8-hour shifts).
