Job Description

GI/Pacific Systems is looking for a team member to support our operations in Houston, TX. You will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and you will perform various warehouse activities. Our operations are primarily focused on supporting the defense industry and your work will help us deliver products and services to the United States military. You will be responsible for receiving shipments from our vendors and storing them on our premises in an optimal manner. You will be involved in packaging products according to mil-spec standards which will be outlined in packaging requirements per order. You will also be responsible for all outgoing shipments, ensuring they are picked up in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for making sure that the facility is open and accessible during work hours.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the packaging facility and adjoining offices
  • Process, package and ship orders accurately
  • Organize stocks and maintain inventory
  • Inspect products for defects and damages
  • Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments
  • Organize warehouse space
  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
  • Packaging outgoing shipments according to order specfic requirements
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
  • Keep warehouse clean and organised daily
Job Requirements
  • Proven warehouse experience is preferred
  • Ability to operate our internal data management system and understand packaging requirements
  • Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  • Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
  • Team player with organisational skills
  • Ability to lift or move heavy products
  • Must be a United States Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident
